Lu Lan Women's mosque is an all-female mosque in the heart of Lanzhou in Gansu Province, China. It is a financially-independent mosque which supports itself entirely by donations from local people. The female imam (ahong in Mandarin Chinese) or spiritual leader for the women who visit the mosque is 69-year old Ding Gui Zhi. The female imam (ahong in Mandarin Chinese) or spiritual leader for the women who visit the mosque is 69-year old Ding Gui Zhi. Her whole life is devoted to the spiritual guidance of local women, and on busy nights the prayer room is full to overflowing.
